House Rules & Policies
Drinking Water
A limited supply of drinking water is provided for your stay. It is the responsibility of the Renter to ensure an adequate supply of drinking water for the duration of occupancy. The water source of the Cottage is a well and/or lake and is not potable.
Water and Septic
The Cottage is on a septic system. The septic system is very effective; however, blockages will occur if improper materials are flushed. Do not flush anything other than toilet paper. No feminine hygiene products, paper towels, facial tissues, or wet/sanitary wipes should be flushed at any time. If it is found that any prohibited items have been flushed by the Renter or Renter Guests causing damages or blockages to the septic system, you will be charged for all costs for repair and/or replacement.
Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarms
Smoke and Carbon Monoxide detector(s) are installed in the Cottage. The Renter must notify the Owner immediately if there is an issue with a detector. No detector shall be modified, removed, or tampered with.
Vehicle Parking
There is limited space for parking. Park only in the designated driveway and/or authorised parking area(s). It is the responsibility of the Renter to ensure any parked vehicles belonging to the Renter or Renter Guests do not impede and/or block the active railway, roadways, lanes, or neighbouring driveways.
Keys
Upon Check-In the Renter will be given a code to access the lock box containing the key to the Cottage. On Check-Out the Renter is to secure the key in the lock box at the front door. Failure to do so will result in a minimum charge of $50.00 for key and/or lock replacement.
Forgotten Items
If the Renter requests the return of any items which were inadvertently left on the Property, the Renter agrees to pay a packaging fee in addition to the cost of postage for the return of the item. The Owner does not take any responsibility for any forgotten, lost, or stolen items.
Access
The Owner shall be allowed access to the Property at any reasonable time during the rental period.
